Pinpoint’s personality models distill 70 years of scientific research on the motivations behind consumer decisions. Our technology also advances digital psychometrics developed at Stanford and Cambridge Universities.

The Management Team

Avi Tuschman, Founder and CEO

Avi Tuschman did his undergraduate and doctoral research at Stanford, where he sought out the very best data known to science for predicting an individual’s future preferences and behaviors. This inquiry led him into the field of psychometrics.

Tuschman published the first science book on heritable psychometric traits and how to make predictions from them, which was published through Prometheus / Random House in 2013. The book received praise from top science writers and coverage in media from 24 countries. He also spent a large part of his career helping 18 heads of state to shape public opinion in Washington, DC, and in Latin America.

Tuschman founded Pinpoint Predictive when he realized that the data economy urgently needed a scientific standard in people data. When he saw that big-data psychometrics were feasible, accurate, and the future of people data, he set out to digitize and scale up this vital data class so that we could benefit from better insights, targeting, and people predictions.

Wei Hsu, VP of Engineering

Wei Hsu is a Stanford Computer Science alumnus and a full-stack engineer specialized in developing highly scalable applications. He led the engineering teams of his previous companies through two acquisitions. Previous to Pinpoint, Hsu was a team member at a venture originally seed-funded by Facebook, where he managed a ten-person team as Director of Engineering.

In his free time, Hsu is a dedicated fan of Stanford Football and also loves third-wave coffee shops.
